“A great song should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good.”
― Colbie Caillat

There are very few artists who have moved me to the core like Zamajobe Sithole. I have listened to her Album Ndawo Yami everyday for the last FIVE YEARS!! So if i would pick a song to be born into, a song that would be taught to the old men, midwives and village.. it would be none other than:

AVULEKILE AMASANGO

“Where words fail, music speaks.”  ― Hans Christian Andersen

The First time I ever heard this song, it  meshed heavily with my spirit.
Forget that the lyrics were foreign… It just sounded so goo...ooo..ood !
I decided to do a little research and find out the origins of the song and the meaning behind the lyrics ofcos!

I came across this incredible piece by Janet Rodriguez of brazenprincess.com that gave a “face” to this song!

Enjoy the read.

I am Loving February already :) So much in store for me already personally and at work too!! \O/ Just cant shake off that good good feeling!
I will share in due course.

EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING..

I pick my music, just like i pick my friends.. close to the heart.
I brush through lyrics just like literature.

"I wrote these words for everyone, Who struggles in their youth
Who won't accept deception, Instead of what is truth
It seems we lose the game, Before we even start to play
Who made these rules? We're so confused
Easily led astray, Let me tell ya that
Everything is everything
Everything is everything

What is meant to be will be
After winter, must come spring
Change comes Eventually."

Lauryn Hill - Everything Is Everything

“Life can bring us through many changes, it’s alright.

Just don't give up and know it's gonna be alright.

People come and they go, it's just the way that it goes.

Everything is everything, it’s alright.”

Ledisi - Alright

"I hear voices, I see people, I hear voices of many people
(Oh, yeah)
I hear voices, I see people, I hear voices of many people
Sayin' everything is everything
Yeah, oh, yeah"

Donny Hathaway - Voices Inside (Everything Is Everything)
