So this is not entirely about the color grey. *where was i going with this again?? uurrrrgh!* Shaking My Head...
We all have our very own shades of grey created and copyright-en by ourselves. Add a touch of crazy here a bit of drama there..a personal failure here, a heartbreak there..an economic recession there and viola!! A shade of grey!! I share my very own shades of Grey:
Suburban Squirrel # I'm not the best COMMUNICATOR.. If communication had a soundtrack :: THE CARDIGANS - COMMUNICATION would be my theme song.
" For 27 years I’ve been trying to believe and confide in | Different people I’ve found. | Some of them got closer than others | And someone wouldn’t even bother and then you came around | I didn’t really know what to call you, you didn’t know me at all | But I was happy to explain. | I never really knew how to move you | So I tried to intrude through the little holes in your veins | And I saw you | But that’s not an invitation |That’s all I get | If this is communication, I disconnect | I’ve seen you, I know you But I don’t know | How to connect, so I disconnect..
Well this is an invitation | it's
not a threat | If you want communication
that's what you get | I'm talking and talking | but I don't know how to connect
and I hold a record for being patient | with your kind of hesitation | I need you, you want me
but I don't know how to connect | so I disconnect, I disconnect.."

Battleship# I have Hair OCD!!--- yep! self diagnosed .. But how else would you explain how one dread out of place is enough to drive me craaaaazy!! My focus will be on that one out-place hair all day..all night..all morning when am getting ready for a brand new day.(ooooh, i digress: Brand New Day- Joshua Radin playing on my nano...head bobbing).. A bad hair-day is enough to paralyze all my senses:: hair OCD ?? that's what i call it.
African Parrot#
--- "Got me in trouble, i said too much again. Am never speaking up again..starting nooow!! i'd rather be a mystery." I can totally relate to those lyrics by John Mayer ; ) lol! I tend to NOT speak when am required because I'm either too tired to talk..or i don't want to deal with it..or i try to convince myself that its NO big deal, and then go at it waaay way later at the most INAPPROPRIATE time and place!! *work in progress*
Zombie Brain# Small attention span with sporadic moments of forgetfulness::I Forgot the baking powder when baking (i have been baking for quite a while now *cringe*)... I forget my ATM PIN every end of the month.. sporadic episodes of complete utter brain freeze. :) am sure we can all relate!! *ahem*
Greys Anatomy# Analysis-Paralysis :: Wikipedia describes this as Quote:: refers to over-analyzing (or over-thinking) a situation, so that a decision or action is never taken, in effect paralyzing the outcome ::unQuote
Shark Skin# I can be a little too tough on the people around me.. a bit over bearing here..over protective there.. and distant... tough on the outside cos am jello on the inside!! Protective stance you can call it. guilty as charged! This list goes on..and on..

I have struggled and overcome an ugly tendency to OVER-analyze things and situations. Breaking down simple conversations to down to pronunciation??.. how did the vowels sound??.. what was the tone used??...The mood of the conversation??...How many blinks in-between-words??..LO! (No. am kidding about that last one. Really!). To all, still struggling with Analysis-Paralysis, meditate on this:
I'm reconciled with all my shades of grey. Present and Future Greys, Good and Bad Greys. All Sixteen...No! Fifty..No!..ALL Two Hundred and Fifty-Four shades, hues and tones.
Dropping those that need to be dropped ... changing those that need change... accepting those that need to be.
My Greys are no longer BORING..COLD ...SAD and OLD but are now VINTAGE..CLASSY..BOLD..and RADIANT. Dropping those that need to be dropped ... changing those that need change... accepting those that need to be.
When working with your Greys remember,
#1 Grey works as a wonderful backdrop
#2 If You go Grey pick at least one bright color to accentuate
#3 If You go for brights, pick at least one shade of Grey to tone down your palette.
