“No, no! The adventures first, explanations take such a dreadful time.”

After hanging around the city for over an hour waiting on Shar,
Thanks to the INSANE NAIROBI TRAFFIC --- the type that makes you wanna ditch your car in the middle of traffic and just walk to your destination #SoWhat! We finally made it to dinner, a little under dressed for the scene but we looked CUTE :)
Impulse buying, because the shop attendants were giving me "The Look".. We all know that "NOT-ANOTHER-WINDOW-SHOPPER-WASTING-MY-DAMN-TIME" look. I ended up getting this overly-sweet-smelling Bath&Body Works Body Splash.. tried it on this morning, and it could almost give you a cavity just by spraying it on.
Fogo Gaucho is a fine dining, pocket friendly Brazilian Steak House... All-You-Can-Eat Meat platter served with over 20 different types of Salads...
So first things first. We got to the self-service salad bar, talk about falling in LOVE with vegetables!!
the meat servings then started and did not stop till we turned our little coaster looking mats RED for NO thank You!! We had Pork Ribs, Chicken, Beef Ribs, Lamb, Grilled Fish, Sausages, Prawns, Crocodile, Garlic Beef Steak.... I must admit it will take me a couple of days for the meat to fully digest!! LOL.
OMGoodness, i had Crocodile for the first time.. LOOOVED it! I thought it tasted like some exotic chicken!! lol!
HATED the prawns.. i don't CARE how cute they looked when grilled, too fishy for my liking.
Garlic Beef Steak was outta this world!! LOVED IT!
Dessert was another of the highlights!! Grilled pineapple with sugar and cinnamon!!
Who thought something so amazing to the pallete could come out of a pineapple?!! Wow!
Great Conversation... Amazing Background... Live band on the scene was the PERFECT setting for dinner.
This reminded me of how much i need to put myself out there a lot MORE!!
THANK YOU Shar, You were AMAZING!! Funny! Witty! Entertaining! My Fun Valentine.
In the middle of dinner i picked up the menu on the table and read a little about the history of the Brazilian Steaks (churrascarias).
It turns out that during the Greatest economic depression in Europe, alot of the Europeans packed up in search of better land. A few came across a lash piece of land with fertile soil and fresh grass for the animals. They settled in the Land (today's Southern Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay,).
Twice a year the Gauchos would hold a feast of thanks giving. Harvest the freshest of vegetables, served with all types of meat (chicken, beef, pork, lamb etc etc) cooked over open fires.
Happy Weekend,
am so going there very very soon,am already wishing i tagged along but of course on your bill, heheheheheh
ReplyDeleteI really had a good time hun, apologies for being late.... next time I will be on time. I want to go spurs for the pork. I love pork. :)
ReplyDeleteWe should be making it a tradition thing even if its once a month; we work too hard we deserve to spoil our selves again with 6k worth of food... wait that is half Taji's school fees for the whole term... but let's move on!
I agree shar!! next time, I'll call and ASSERTAIN the prices have not changed. we don't want another Bill like the last time! lol!
