We can almost ALL relate to the universal definition of closure..
Be it that friendship that ended suddenly with silence... the sudden demise of a loved one... or it could be a situation that you felt you were treated with prejudice...def. Closure or need for closure are psychological terms that describe the desire or need individuals have for information that will allow them to conclude an issue that had previously been clouded in ambiguity and uncertainty. Upon reaching this conclusion, they are now able to attain a state of epistemic "closure" .
After struggling for TWO years + to close a certain door in my life, I am glad to say YES! I HAVE ATTAINED THE STATE OF EPISTEMIC "CLOSURE" :-)
Thanks to a tweet that I stumbled upon on my account, that I suddenly had an urge to revive..for Lord knows what reasons?!?
I am at that point... that, so-amazing-point-where-I-can NOW celebrate your present, sit down over a brandy and cake and talk about the past SELECTIVELY picking out the good memories...without my need to be right or prove a point at all.. just reminisce :) see, piece o' cake!!
Good riddance to all the crazy thoughts of wanting to kill you over and over ... The NOT so tiny box that i put you in each time your name came up.. ALL the negative emotions i held as a gun to my own TEMPLE...
I see you now, and i feel FREE. Not angry or rejected or automatic responsive or defensive. Just plain FREE.
