GOD SPOKE

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1
English Standard Version (ESV)
By Henry Lee Battle

i didn't expect to hear from God so soon...
as i got down on my knees and prayed with a mixture of both common words and the tongues of the heavens,
casting my burdens upon HIM.
As the man of God took the pulpit that Sunday morning,
speaking words uncommon in his Sunday suit,
God spoke.
He spoke of how he had delivered me.
Of how i should not get down on my knees and in his name speak of that situation again, for it was done.
Of how he had stirred my bitter waters and now nothing but sweet springs flow through my city set upon the hill.
The Lord had spoken.
He had called my situation by name and birth date.
How i could i not respond?
And yet i did not!
I did not acknowledge it was i.
I did not respond when the man of God asked us to stand up for the laying of hands.
For the deliverance over that situation.
How could distress feel so familiar?.. so friendly? .. so right?

{ LE GRINCH!

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. ― John Lennon
I have always ogled at all the amazing online purchases with Oohs and Aahs but NEVER EVER given a thought to buying anything that required delivery to our post office box.

I always imagined the postmaster as the-Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmail.
When i was younger, i would imagine the beautiful gifts sent to us that NEVER got delivered, in the hands of the post-master or one the post-office staff's children..as they played with our toys or wearing our jewellery or shoes or clothes etc etc.
I would get real MAAAAD at the post-master and all of the post-office staff  *blame it on misplaced anger* so, i was always AFRAID of the post-master.

While making up a list of the all the things required for setting up shop, i discovered almost ALL of the things i desperately needed, were NOT available locally.
The dreaded FEAR of buying and shipping set in.
i thought, OOH.MY.WOOOOORD, what if the-Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmail, got his hands on my packages, i will be finished!!

While looking up eBay, i thought to myself, why don't i make a tester purchase?!
If the package is delivered, we're good! if not, well ...the-Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmail will enjoy an incredible pair of 80s blue aviator sunglasses. so i DID IT ANYWAY.
To my SURPRISE  on Saturday evening i received a little package in the mail.

My tester package got delivered!!

SO, maybe just, maybe the-Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmailfinally retired??  or maybe there was no Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmail after all ??

Update:
My second purchase from eBay arrived in the mail yesterday (29.Jan.) .. YAAAY! i was awesomely surprised at how quick that delivery was.

My very OWN border punch by fiskars!! So, just in case you are wondering...what's an Border punch??
To answer that question....

VERDICT
There was a Grinch-who-stole-ALL-packages-sent via airmail!! Am glad that he is now retired.
