This year I choose to celebrate love...
The love unforgettable, love undeniable, love unconditional, the selfless love, love un-regrettable, tough love, the forever love.

I celebrate the love unconditional..
that enabled me to  run back to it whenever life hit me hard,
the love that put food on my table and a place called home,
the tough love that made me want to break away.

I celebrate love unforgettable,
that kept me up with late-night phone calls and pink cheeks,
the love that brought family and friend together for special moments,
the love that held me together when everything seemed to fall apart,

I celebrate the love undeniable...
the  love that put fire in my eyes and passion in my heart,
the love that brought with it great ideas and renewed hope,
the love that died before its time,
the love that left me curled up in tears with great lessons.

I celebrate selfless love...
that love that enabled me to pour myself into another soul,
because that is what love does,
the love that enabled me to look myself in the mirror and accept who i am.

I celebrate forever love...
the ever constant, never changing love
that has been before the beginning of time..

Dear Alice ....

“For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning." (Little Gidding)”   ―

Dearest Alice...
I have the strangest dejavu feeling about this. That feeling like I have done this before in the future-present.
It has been three blessed years sharing our little corner office.
All the laughter and the smiles.. the advice and the castigations combined... Spiritual and emotional support all packaged in one, behind three walls. *I just noticed our little office has three walls*
I must admit you always made the office lively. Your infectious laughter will be a sure sign of your presence missed.
I am happy that you are moving on, one beginning is always made of another beginning's end.
I know beyond doubt that your future is as sure as the sunrise.
Good things are coming your way. It is well with you.
I wish you great experiences to write home about.
May challenges only seem like doors to push you forward.
You have taught me that tough times do not last, but happy people do.
Through you I have learned to relax and laugh a lot more..
This is no goodbye, this is see you later :)
Behind these three walls, I will truly miss you!

{ FLIRTATIONSHIP!

MORE than a friendship, LESS than a relationship!!
----- Anonymous

Books have been written !!
Movies Made!!
Songs Sang!!
Advise Dispensed!!

---- BUT WHERE'S THE TRUE LESSON??

At one *unhealthy* point in life, many have fallen victim to a Flirtationship... Me included!
TWO looong confusing years in a flirtationship, was EMOTIONAL SUICIDE!
It made me wanna kill this person over and over and over again. We could not define what is was, simply cos there was NEVER anything, but a roller-coaster of emotions.. that sucked the life out of me.
I took a sabbatical (from dating) just to put the pieces of what was left of me together.. and be whole again.
Much later, i fell into another Flirtationship! Only, this time i convinced myself this was MORE than a Friendship, ALMOST a Relationship.. *who knew almost didn't count??*
Once again, i jumped on another emotional roller-coaster! This time i was most DARING and took the front seat. I could see with such clarity, where i was headed and buckled up my seat, fearful and thrilled!!
The ride did not last this time around. I saw the true light of what i was doing to myself.. it was time to let the skeletons come out and call them by name.
The TRUE Lesson came when i made the decision to treat myself better FIRST, CHOSE healthier relationships, had STANDARDS, OWNED who i am, before i could be ANYTHING to anyone else...A loving-supportive-daughter-sister-friend-coworker etc etc.
The BIGGEST Lessons came when i made better CHOICES not ROCKET SCIENCE ...
